About the Journal
The Indian Journal of Educational Theory & Practice is a scholarly journal published by The Indian Society for the Advancement of Higher Education (INSOHED), a society registered under the Registrar of Societies, Govt of Kerala. The journal is designed to be a platform for scholarly critical debate on different facets of education from multi-disciplinary, interdisciplinary, and trans-disciplinary perspectives. The journal is primarily a print journal with an online edition in parallel. The journal levies no publication charges and strives to maintain the highest standards and professional approach.
The Indian Society for the Advancement of Higher Education (INSOHED) was founded a quarter century ago by the eminent educationist and psychometry pioneer, Prof A. Sukumaran Nair. Trained under luminaries such as J P Guilford and Benjamin Bloom, he has developed several psychometric tests, including the widely used Non-verbal Group Test of Intelligence. Prof Nair was a Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Calicut and retired as Vice-chancellor of MG University, Kottayam. As its chief advisor, Prof Nair continues to be the leading light of INSO-HED and IJETP.
